Trauma & Recovery

Physician-led evaluation for complex pain, trauma, and stalled recovery.

When recovery has stopped making sense

You may have completed treatment, followed the plan, and still feel that your body or nervous system has not returned to baseline.

Pain, sleep disruption, headache, hypervigilance, weakness, or loss of confidence may persist even when standard testing offers no clear explanation.

Previous care often addresses one symptom or one system at a time.

When musculoskeletal injury, nerve irritation, autonomic stress, sleep, and trauma physiology overlap, no single test tells the entire story.

The result can be fragmented treatment without a clear understanding of what is still preventing recovery.

Alypos starts by integrating the history, examination, records, imaging, movement, and direct physician judgment.

Treatment is considered only after the barriers to recovery are understood.

What can keep recovery stalled?

Complex recovery may involve several overlapping systems. Alypos evaluates which findings are clinically relevant before recommending treatment.

Musculoskeletal injury

Joint, tendon, ligament, or soft-tissue problems that remain incompletely diagnosed or mechanically unresolved.

Peripheral nerve irritation

Burning, shooting, electric, or positional symptoms may reflect a peripheral nerve problem that routine imaging does not show clearly.

Complex regional pain

Severe sensitivity, swelling, temperature change, or disproportionate pain requires careful examination and coordinated clinical judgment.

Movement and stability

Weakness, altered mechanics, joint instability, or compensation can continue to interfere with function after the original injury.

Persistent pain after surgery

Tissue may have healed while scar sensitivity, nerve involvement, altered movement, or a missed diagnosis continues to drive symptoms.

Sleep, mood, and trauma physiology

Sleep disruption, hypervigilance, mood symptoms, and trauma physiology can amplify physical symptoms and slow recovery without making them any less real.

Cognitive and emotional strain

Headache, concentration difficulty, anxiety, or depressive symptoms may interact with pain and must be considered within the same recovery picture.

When no single diagnosis explains it

A complex presentation does not mean the symptoms are not real. It means the evaluation must be broad, deliberate, and clinically integrated.

A plan built around what is preventing recovery

Our goal is not simply to provide ketamine. Our goal is to understand what is preventing recovery and develop an individualized treatment plan.

Alypos is a physician-only practice. Every evaluation and procedure is performed directly by Dr. Bernhardt.

Care may include image-guided musculoskeletal or nerve intervention, rehabilitation coordination, medication strategy, supportive IV therapy, or ketamine when clinically appropriate. Ketamine is one possible tool—not the purpose of the evaluation.
